ATTORNEY ADAM RUNKLE

​Adam is a graduate of the University of Akron School of Law. He is admitted to all state and federal courts in Ohio and is a member of the Akron Bar Association and Ohio State Bar Association.

He began his career as a law clerk with Starkey Law Firm in 2009, and joined the firm as an associate in 2011 upon graduation from law school, and then became a partner of Starkey & Runkle in 2019.
 
The core of Adam’s practice is representing businesses starting from the filing of the formation documents, handling, routine contract matters, real estate acquisition and expansions, employment issues, and civil litigation. His practice has grown along with his long-time clients, and he also provides succession planning and estate planning for the business owners to protect their wealth and pass it on to the next generation. He has had the privilege of guiding clients through transactions with private equity groups, mergers and acquisiqtions, including due diligence review, negotiation, deal structuring, and documentation of the deal, from preliminary discussions through closing.
 
Lately his practice has expanded to include acting as outside general counsel for business clients who have ongoing legal needs, but who are not yet large enough to have an attorney on staff. In this role, Adam is available on an as needed basis for upper management to assist in navigating through complex business issues and to manage local counsel when matters arise in other jurisdictions.
 
In his free time, Adam enjoys spending time with his son, cooking, reading, shooting sporting clays, and relaxing in the sun.
